The Genealogy Club of Newtown will host its next meeting on Wednesday, November 14, in the lower meeting room of C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street.

This month’s speaker will be Toni McKeen, a past president of the club and a dynamic speaker.

The topic of her presentation will build upon and add to the October topic, “Why Can’t I Find?”

After making timelines and/or charts for family research and determining your missing information, Ms McKeen will discuss possible reasons information for a relative cannot been found, with suggestions on where to look next. She will share tricks she uses to help researchers find those relatives who have been hiding and suggest ways to dig into websites and look at documents.

Genealogy club start promptly at 7 pm, but those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive early to meet with other genealogists for socializing and light refreshments and conversation. All are welcome.

Reservations are not needed to attend club meetings, but additional information is available by calling Bea Morgan at 203-304-1861.

The Genealogy Room at the library is open in its new location, on the third floor, with a dedicated computer loaded with all the best research sites. Ms Morgan is available Mondays from 2 to 4 pm to assist with research.
