The print edition will be published on Wednesday, November 23. It will be on newsstands later that afternoon, and subscribers should receive their paper on time.

All town offices will be closed on Thursday, November 24, and Friday, November 25, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The transfer station at 4 Ethan Allen Road will be closed both days; it will reopen on Saturday on its regular schedule (7 am to 3 pm).

Newtown Senior Center and Cyrenius H. Booth Library will be closed on Thursday and Friday. The senior center will reopen on Monday at 8 am, and the town library will reopen on Saturday at 9:30 am.

Schools also will be closed Thursday and Friday. Public schools will have early dismissal on Wednesday, November 25.

The United States Postal Service will not be making deliveries on Thursday.
