Jeanne Mitchell Carroll, 88, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of John H. Carroll, died August 9 at St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. She was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong area resident.

Her son Michael Pramuka of Newtown, two granddaughters, a niece, a nephew, and a great-niece survive Mrs Carroll.

She was a retired employee for the State of Connecticut Unemployment Department. Mrs Carroll also worked at the Pequot Library in Southport and the Fairfield Public Library.

She was a member of the St Ann’s Seniors, the Black Rock Seniors, and was a friend of Bill W. She enjoyed her many trips to the casino.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass, Saturday, August 17, at 10 am, at St Ann Roman Catholic Church, 481 Brewster Street, Bridgeport. Burial will be private.

Donations in her memory may be made to St Ann’s Parish. Larson Funeral Home, Bridgeport, is in care of arrangements.
