Kay Adair Lennon, 82, of Monroe, died November 24. Born May 3, 1936 in Gordon, Wis., to Russell and Katherine MacDonald, she was the second oldest of seven children and is survived by her siblings, Bonnie, Sue, Robert, Douglas, Warren, and Cameron MacDonald.

She and her husband, William, who predeceased her in 2016, lived in their home for 53 years.

Her beloved children, Kathleen and Scott Mason, Newtown; Bill and Pam Lennon, Mason, Ohio; Bob and Heather Lennon, Fredericksburg, Va.; Tim and Lauri Lennon, Brookfield; and Jennifer Lennon and Brett Ochs, Boulder, Colo., survive Mrs Lennon. She also treasured her 11 grandchildren, Melanie, Thomas, Felicia, David, Lauren, Kellyann, Gregory, Cara, Jack, Timmy, and Russell.

Mrs Lennon graduated from high school in Superior, Wis., and as a people person, quickly landed a job at TWA airlines as a stewardess. She traveled internationally and worked in first class, where she met many celebrities, including Frank Sinatra, who told her she had “crazy blue eyes.” During that time, she met her husband and took on her beloved role as wife and mother.

She was a creative soul and loved playing bridge, quilting, needlepoint, painting, writing poems, crafting, and telling stories. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends and had an active social life and circle of good friends and family who loved her dearly. Her positivity shone through everything she did, and her exuberance was contagious. Mrs Lennon was full of life and brought a smile and kind word to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

A wake will take place Friday, November 30, from 4 to 7 pm, at Spadaccino & Gallagher Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. A memorial service will take place at St Jude Parish, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, on Saturday, December 1, at 9 am.
