Scout Day At IAIS

WASHINGTON — Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies are all invited to join other local Scouts at The Institute for American Indian Studies on Saturday, January 9, for a winter afternoon experiencing Native American culture and the outdoors.

From 10:30 am until 12:30 pm learn about the animals of Connecticut, what foods are available, how to start fire using friction, and basic tracking skills. Also make your own mandella shield and enjoy roasting marshmallows around a fire.

Cost is $15 per Scout, $5 for adults (regular museum admission), and registration is required because space is limited.
