Newtown Police, FBI Arrest Sandy Hook Resident On Child Porn Charge
Newtown Police Department Detective Bureau, in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, has arrested a Sandy Hook man for possession of child pornography.
On January 5, search and seizure warrant was executed by police at a Sandy Hook residence, stemming from allegations that a resident at that address may be in possession of child pornography.
As a result of the investigation, Christopher Blagbrough, 61, of Sandy Hook, was arrested by Newtown PD detectives and charged with first-degree possession of child pornography.
Blagborough's bail was set at $150,000. He was given a court date of January 6 in Danbury Superior Court.
First-degree possession of child pornography is a Class B Felony under Connecticut State Statute. Any person found guilty shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment, of which five years of said sentence may not be suspended or reduced by the court.
