*As usual, Mohegan Sun Casino has a number of recently added shows to its various venues.

The Wolf Den, which hosts free shows, will host THE REMBRANDTS on Friday, February 17, with special guests Northey and Valenzuela; THE DOUG FLUTIE BAND on Sunday, February 19; THE MARSHALL TUCKER BAND on Friday, February 24; and OTIS DAY & THE KNIGHTS on Saturday, February 25.

THE NELSONS also have a pair of shows scheduled at the Wolf Den, on Friday and Saturday, January 27 and 28.

The previous week the Nelson twins will be performing a show in the casino’s Cabaret. Tickets for the Sunday, January 22 event, which will be an afternoon show starting at 3, are $30 a pop.

*Also coming to Mohegan Sun will be DARYL HALL & JOHN OATES, the duo that created an astonishing number of chart-topping hits in the late 1970s and early 80s. The two will be at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, March 11.

Tickets are $35 for all seats, and will go on sale at 10 am on Saturday, January 7, through TicketMaster vendors. The box office at Mohegan Sun will not be offering tickets until Sunday, January 8.

*THE DEREK TRUCKS BAND is gearing up for a busy few months, starting with a six-week tour that will be kicking off at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday, January 13, at 8 pm. Trucks, who moonlights as a guitarist for The Allman Brothers Band, will set out on a nationwide trek that will introduce fans to his new album, Songlines, due out in February.

This will be Trucks’ third performance at The Ridgefield Playhouse, where the band regularly receives standing ovations to a sold out house. Opening will be another repeat Playhouse performer, Grace Potter.

For tickets ($49.50/$39.50) and further information, call the box office at 203-438-5795; tickets may be also purchased online at www.RidgefieldPlayhouse.org.

*Also from The Playhouse this week comes word that the JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND show originally scheduled for next weekend — on Saturday, January 14 — has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 5, at the band’s request.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
