Library Talk On Keeping Your Eyesight
DANBURY â There are many things that can go wrong with your eyesight: macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, retinal vascular occlusions, floaters, and more.
The Danbury Library is hosting a presentation with Dr Richard Scartozzi, vitreoretinal surgeon with Danbury Eye Physicians & Surgeons, to discuss these and other eye conditions on Sunday, January 8, from 2 to 3 pm at the Danbury Library. Dr Scartozzi will discuss how individuals may or may not be able to prevent them and also the new clinical research trials linking nutrition/diet and vitamin/mineral supplementation with macular degeneration prevention.
Dr Scartozzi graduated from Johns Hopkins University Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital. He is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and was voted one of Americaâs top ophthalmologists by the Consumersâ Research Council of America.
