Newtowner Omari Miles earned status on the honor roll at Notre Dame High School of Fairfield for the first marking period at the school.

 Monica Warek of Sandy Hook, a sophomore and member of the women’s soccer team at New York University, New York City, earned University Athletic Association Fall Sport All-Academic honors for her work during 2010. On the field, Warek appeared in three games for NYU as a midfielder, recording her first career point on an assist in the Violets’ 9-0 win over SUNY Purchase.

Newtowner Austin Hubbert and Sandy Hook resident Emma Iannini were named the to fall term 2010 Dean’s List at Choate Rosemary Hall, Wallingford.
