Marion Faulhaber Daily, 97, died January 6 of natural causes at Ridgefield Crossing Assisted Living Center in Ridgefield, where she lived for several years. She was born October 8, 1916, to Emma (Swanson) and Carl Faulhaber in Erie, Penn.

She was married to her loving husband, the late Robert T. Daily, for nearly 60 years. Six children, Tom Daily of Sandy Hook, Doris Brough of Arlington, Va., Sally Buckler of Dayton, Md., M. Constance Sheils of Scranton, Penn., James Daily of South Norwalk and Stockbridge, Mass., and Mary Ann Murtha of Danbury, survive Mrs Daily. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her sisters Doris Fox and Lorna Bonnell preceded her in death.

Mrs Dailey worked for the Erie Dispatch newspaper as a secretary before her marriage.

The family moved many times as her husband's career advanced. The Dailys retired to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., in 1980.

Always active, Mrs Daily liked to read, play golf and bridge, garden, arrange flowers, walk the beach, ski, swim, work puzzles, and enjoy the company of family and friends. She volunteered at hospitals, at the Tournament Players Club, and at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. She helped lead many scout troops.

A memorial service is being planned. Her ashes will be interred next to her husband's at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Ponte Vedra.

Condolences may be sent to Sally Buckler, 14741 Betula Way, Dayton MD 21036.

Donations in her memory may be made to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road, Second Floor, Princeton NJ 08540 or at donate@autismspeaks.org or to Western Connecticut Health Network, Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810 or at www.campaignforwchn.org.
