What You Can Do At Home

DANBURY — The Trading Post will host two free evenings of presentations by alternative energy experts and leading manufacturers of home hearth products on Thursdays, January 19 and February 2. The events will run from 6 to 10 pm at the Ethan Allen Hotel, 21 Lake Avenue.

Discussions will cover the heating benefits of wood, wood pellets, biomass, coal, natural gas and propane. Burn trailers with working product displays will be on view.

Representatives from Mendota, Fireplace Products International, New England Hardwood Pellets, Jotul North America, HS Tarm, Regency/Fireplace Products  Inc, and Harman will discuss a different technology and will be available to answer questions. Cheryl Bakewell, a certified public accountant, will also give an overview of tax incentives that are in the works.

Admission is free. Warm refreshments will be served. Homeowners, architects, building contractors and real estate professionals are all welcome. Seating is limited.
