Christina “Chrissy” Marie Byrnes, 41, of Danbury, died suddenly at her home, January 5. She was the daughter of Barbara (Ricketts) Kostecki and Craig Byrnes. She was born in Stamford and moved to the Danbury area as a child, where she lived for most of her life.

Two sons, Christian Soderquist and Trevor Palmer of Newtown; her parents, Barbara Kostecki of Danbury and Craig Byrnes of Michigan; a sister, Cheri Lounsbury of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Joseph Kostecki of Danbury; her long time companion, Steve Maloney; three nieces; and a nephew survive Ms Byrnes.

Ms Byrnes was a hairstylist graduate of Henry Abbott Tech. She was an avid reader and wrote some of her own poetry. She enjoyed children of all ages, and had a loving, playful way of connecting with them. She was kindhearted toward all animals. She had a sweet, beautiful soul that shone through her beautiful face.

The funeral service will take place Saturday, January 16, at 1 pm, at the First Assembly of God Church, 133 Junction Road, Brookfield. A reception will follow in the church hall.
