Making Women Visible Day

HARTFORD — The Permanent Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) and the Connecticut Women’s Agenda (CWA) will hold the sixth annual Making Women Visible Day in Connecticut on Wednesday, February 23.

Women and men all over the state are urged to wear red in support of making women visible to state lawmakers and policy makers and their own communities.  The commission will make public the report “Connecticut Women in the New Millennium – Not Equal Yet,” which includes data about women in the workplace, political arena, as business owners, in poverty, health, criminal justice and education.

A luncheon and panel discussion about the report are planned. For reservations or more information call the PCSW at 860/240-8300.
