The following dogs and/or cats are available for adoption from the Newtown pound, which is located at the end of Ethan Allen Road (behind the transfer station).

CHARLOTTE is a 4-year-old female Hokkaido-terrier mix. She has a sweet personality and is friendly with both other dogs and people. JAKE is a 1½-year-old black lab mix who is friendly and very energetic. He is not good with other dogs or cats and needs some obedience training. JOEY is a neutered pit bull male who loves to ride in cars and take leisurely walks. Joey is a very mellow, sweet dog who is housebroken and who would love to treat a deserving owner to great companionship. MIDNIGHT is a beautiful black lab/pit mix who loves adults and would be devoted to one special owner. She gets along with cats, but has issues with some other dogs. Midnight already walks nicely on a leash and knows basic commands. PETE is a 2-year-old neutered black and white English setter with a great personality. A beautiful dog. RUDY is a 2-year-old red and white English setter with gorgeous markings and sweet personality. SARAH is a gentle and sweet boxer who gets along well with other dogs and is housebroken. SASSY is a tiger gray cat, spayed, sweet, 2 years old, and friendly. TIMMY is a 4-year-old mixed breed dog who has a very sweet personality. He is not good with cats.

Good News: Linda, a female husky; Dotty, a female Dalmation; Jingle a male hound mix; and Stormy a female long hair cat were all adopted within the past week.
