Attention Concerned Parents

To the Editor:

Newtown Parent Connection is offering another forum on Wednesday, February 8, from 7 to 9 pm, at Reed Intermediate School. I am asking all concerned parents, caregivers, and other concerned adults in our community to attend, please!

These forums educate us with valuable information that we can use to help raise and guide our children. There have been far too many suicides, overdoses, and other drug related incidents in our community to ignore. The 2005 Governor’s Survey of Newtown Youth shows alarming problems with alcohol and other drugs in our town. Attending these forums is one step in combating the problem we all have. I say “we” because this problem affects the entire community — all of us! We need to come together and take a stand. I hope to see you all there.
