DANBURY — Rosa Duran and Edith Harvey, the program coordinators of The International Club of Newtown, met recently to finalize plans for a Valentine’s Dinner Dance the club will be sponsoring.

The event will take place at the Portuguese Cultural Center, 65 Sand Pit Road in Danbury, on Saturday, February 12, from 6:45 pm until 1 am.

Dinner will include appetizers featuring Portuguese specialties and shrimp, a main course of steak and shrimp, and plenty of wine, beer and soft drinks. There will also be plenty of dancing until the wee hours.

Doors will open at 6:45, and appetizers will be served 15 minutes later. After dinner, the band will start playing at 9.

Tickets are $35 per person and reservations are absolutely necessary; call Rosa Duran at 264-3007 by February 7.
