Knothe And Comisky Join Reynolds & Rowella

NEW CANAAN — Reynolds & Rowella, LLP, a tax, accounting, and consulting firm, has announced the addition of two accountants to its roster of professionals serving businesses and individuals. Both Wendy Knothe and Julie Tienken Comiskey are certified public accountants (CPAs).

Wendy Knothe, a resident of Newtown, is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University. She graduated cum laude with a BBA in accounting and received her CPA designation a few years later. For the eight years prior to joining Reynolds & Rowella, she was at Leask & Leask, PC, in Fairfield, working as a CPA supervisor. In this capacity, in addition to preparing corporate, partnership, nonprofit, and individual tax returns, she assisted clients in designing charts of accounts as well as in designing computer setups for new businesses.

Ms Knothe’s hobbies include walking, hiking, and birding, but her mastery of computers (and their accompanying accounting software programs) ranks as a hobby as well as it does a way of servicing a client.

Julie Comiskey lives in Norwalk and grew up in Wilton. Most recently, she performed as a senior analyst, corporate accounting for Nestle Waters in Greenwich. Her responsibilities included corporate profit and loss analysis, preparation of quarterly reporting schedules and posting ADP payroll.

A magna cum laude graduate of the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, Ms Comiskey received the Charley Osborn Management Information Systems Award for Excellence. While a student in the program, she served as an assistant director in the Babson College Summer Programs providing budgetary and financial services.

As an undergraduate at Babson, she was on the All-American Soccer First Team, the All-New England Basketball team and was named All-American Scholar Athlete in 1993-94. In addition, she served as the school’s assistant soccer coach.

Steve Risbridger, a partner of Reynolds & Rowella and based in the newly expanded New Canaan office, welcomed these new accountants. “While our clients expect expert handling of their accounts all year long, the tax season brings with it a necessary additional effort. Both Julie and Wendy are well-qualified to service our growing list of clients.”

Reynolds & Rowella, offering accounting, auditing and taxation services as well as computer technology, finance and strategic planning, have offices in Ridgefield, Wilton, and New Canaan. Call 203-438-0161 for further information.
