Louis A.          Yitts

Louis A. Yitts, 77, of Trumbull, a retired custodian for Middlebrook School in Trumbull, died January 26 at Maefair Health Center.

Survivors include a son, Louis Yitts and his wife Karen of Newtown; two daughters, JoAnna Rogers and her husband Frank Rogewitz of Westport, and Patricia Fell and her husband Vincent of Prairieville, La.; a sister, Stella Pellino of Bridgeport; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Melissa and Matthew Yitts, Jill and Jaime Campoli, Allison Davidson, Keith and Jennifer Richard; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Panda Yitts; two brothers, Frank and Robert Yitts; three sisters, Dorothy Yitts, Gertrude Cocca, and his twin Louise Yitts.

Born in Bridgeport on January 1, 1928, he was a son of the late Peter and Florence Laughlin Yitts. A US Marine Corps Veteran of World War II, he was a Trumbull resident since 1955. Mr Yitts was also a former employee of Bridgeport Brass with more than 30 years of service.

Funeral services were January 29 at St Theresa Church, Trumbull, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors followed in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
