Noel Furano and Derek DeLorenzo

Announcement is made of the engagement between Noel Furano, daughter of Debbie and Mark Furano of New Milford, and Derek John DeLorenzo, son of Bonnie and Andrew DeLorenzo of Newtown.

The future bride graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury in 2000, having majored in culinary arts. She is currently working toward her bachelor’s in early childhood education at Post University, and is a teacher at The Children’s Adventure Center.

Derek graduated from Newtown High School in 2000. He then attended the University of Connecticut, majoring in political science. He is employed by Dell’s Auto Wrecking.

The couple is planning an October 2010 wedding.
