Family: My husband Andy, and our three kids Leo, Juliana and Penelope.

Pets: We have a dog, Monty. He’s a Shitzu-Yorkie mix, and he’s a spitfire.

How long have you lived in Newtown? We moved here in August 2019.

Career: I’m a board certified behavior analyst and the founder of Dominguez Behavioral. I help people navigate difficult situations, thoughts and feelings, and develop strategies with the intentions of improving their lives and well-being. I’ve been in this world for about my entire career — I first started off as a teacher, but being a board certified behavior analyst allows me to do a lot of different things, so now I’m transitioning full-time into this.

Are you part of any local organizations? I’m a troop leader for Girl Scouts, for my daughter’s troop. We’re also involved in Newtown Youth Wrestling Association.

What do you like to do with your free time? I like to exercise, be outdoors, go on adventures, spend time with my family, read, and spend time with friends.

Do you have a favorite book? It’s The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I read a lot. I love consuming books. Right now I’m reading The Sugar Jar by Yasmine Cheyenne. It’s about setting boundaries, and living a life that’s more enjoyable.

Who or what has been the greatest influence on your life? My mother. She is very strong and loving and a powerful force of a human. She is a huge influence in my life.

If you could spend the day with one person, living or deceased, who would you choose and why? I think my father-in-law. My kids never got to meet him and he was also a spitfire like my dog (laughs). I think we would all have a lot of fun together.

Do you have a favorite music genre, performer or song? I love music! I listen to a lot of different things. I could listen to the band Bush, from the 90s, all the time. I love them. Also I love John Batiste and jazz and fun dance songs from the 90s, and all that fun, nostalgic stuff. I feel like music can really enrich a situation.

What is something you cannot live without? My family, and being outside.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Probably just getting to this moment in life: having a family, and opening my own business, and just getting to where I am now. I’m very happy with it.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? Go for it.

What is your favorite travel destination? Anywhere! I love adventures and I just want to experience life.

What is your favorite part about Newtown? The library, and the night sky.

What would you like to see covered in The Newtown Bee? Some wellness articles or tips about wellness, and well-being topics or happenings around town.

Do you have a personal credo? I try to respond to life, rather than react to it. I think that’s helped me overall, or at least I try to keep that in mind.
