Newtown High School's dance team captured both the Jazz and Hip Hop titles in the South-West Conference Championships, at New Milford High on February 7. The Nighthawks, who also won both titles last winter, showed their versatility, skill, and athleticism during two entertaining routines.

The team is coached by Emily Marks. Senior captains are Adriana Russo, Paige Armstrong, Summer Gordon, and Grace Cappelli. Other seniors are Brenna Navin, and Olivia McAndrew. Juniors are Mackenzie Roszman, Sara Olam, Emma Formica, and Morgan Harrison. Sophomores are Devyn Reilly, Ashley Shrader, Lillian Caico, Lindsay Myer, Sienna Guaragno, Alexandra Kinsey, and Ava Warner. Freshmen are Piper Adolfson, Phoenix Sealey, Kathryn Kavovit, Kayla Sinapi, Sophia Martinez, Olivia Gulalo, Lila Spencer, and Aquinnah Schmidt.
