To the Editor:

Today’s mail brought the February 2021 Donor Update and Annual Report from the C.H. Booth Library, one of the brightest jewels in the crown of our greater Newtown community.

The library’s staff has been so extraordinarily service-oriented, and particularly so during these days of COVID restrictions. Each and every e-mailed request for a desired volume has received a swift response, with so many requests fulfilled more rapidly than imaginable. The library has been among the most significant community assets to keep us engaged and well through these many months.

My wife, Christine, and I have lived in many communities on both the east and west coasts over 39 years, but never has there been a more delightful library than we have here in Newtown.

We encourage generous community support. Kudos to Douglas Lord, Library Director, and all staff members. Keep up the great work!
