To the Editor:

Many newspaper editorials have been written about Donald Trump running for office again. And now he is on trial to be impeached to prevent him from running for any office again. What he should be on trial for is treason!

He has several pending civil and criminal lawsuits from various states pending over his Trump Foundation, taxes, and Deutsche Bank transactions.

Trump has had to face many lawsuits before he entered the 2016 primaries.

He settled the Trump University $40 million fraud lawsuit for $25 million after he was elected president. He has no intention to run for president in 2024 because of pending lawsuits. Civil and criminal lawsuits must be the main reason he has refused to release his tax returns since he was nominated.

Our government was finally able to send a criminal like Al Capone to prison only because of his tax returns.

Is this why Trump has made such a big effort to hide his tax returns and financial transactions with the Deutsche Bank?

But Trump should never go to prison — he should go to a mental institution — how many more crazy acts must he commit before America realizes he is mentally ill?
