Michael John Bolick, 92, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Irene Lindsey Bolick, died February 11. Born in Fairfield, Mr Bolick was a lifelong Fairfield Town resident.

In addition to his devoted wife of 64 years, survivors include his children, Pamela Trickey of Newtown, Donald Bolick and his wife, Robin, of Norfolk, Va., Sharon Lizon and her husband, Robert, of Douglas, Ga., and Michael P. Bolick and his wife, Lynn, of Oxford; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He leaves behind a brother, John Bolick of Texas; a brother-in-law Frederick Lindsey; sisters-in-law Cynthia Maske and Ruth Musenga; and several  nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. His brother, Paul S. Bolick, and sisters Mary B. McKinley and Anna Ulbrick, predeceased Mr Bolick. 

He was a World War II Navy Combat Veteran, serving on the USS Bache and was a survivor of two Kamakazi attacks.

Mr Bolick was the owner of Bolick's Auto Repair Shop and later worked for Sikorsky Aircraft as a helicopter mechanic for fifteen years until his retirement.

He belonged to the Fairfield Veterans of Foreign Wars, the AMVETS and the Fairfield Elks Lodge. He enjoyed drawing and painting, tinkering around his home, and caring for his garden. He will be fondly remembered as a hard working, generous, and kind hearted man, for helping those in need and for his great sense of humor. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, February 15, at 11 am, DIRECTLY at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield, with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery with full Military Honors. Calling hours will take place Friday, February 14, from 4 to 7 pm, in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center.
