He leaves behind his loving wife, Carol, of 46 years; his beautiful daughters, Katharine and Laura; sons-in-law, Mike and George; and four grandsons whom he adored. Gene is also survived by his brother, Steve, and sister-in-law, Tammy, as well as four nieces, two great-nephews, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lorraine and Tom Anderer, sister-in-law Cathy Lombardi, and cousins John Kraska and Carolyn Butler, their spouses, children, and extended family.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, February 18, from 5 to 7 pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main Street North, Southbury. A Funeral Mass will take place Friday, February 19, at 11 am, at St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. A final resting service is planned for the spring.
