MARCH 19 LECTURE AT BRUCE MUSEUM TO FOCUS ON CHINESE CERAMICS

GREENWICH, CONN. — A lecture, “Chinese Ceramics in Imperial Collections” will be presented by Rosemary Scott, international academic director, Asian art, Christie’s, London, on Monday, March 19, at the Bruce Museum at 1:15 pm. Tea will follow.

This is a joint event with the Connecticut Ceramics Study Circle.

With more than 20 years experience in Chinese art, Scott is an internationally recognized authority on Chinese ceramics.

Having joined Christie’s in 1997 as senior academic advisor, Scott has lectured and conducted scholarly research for Christie’s worldwide Asian art sales.

Scott holds an honors degree in Chinese art and archaeology from the University of London and undertook post-graduate research into early lacquer and its relation to other materials.
