Newtown Police, Hook & Ladder firefighters and a Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps crew all responded to 75 Church Hill Road early Friday afternoon, February 16, after a passenger vehicle went from the rear parking lot there and traveled approximately 100 feet northeast before stopping on a steep hill along Tom Brook. The ride took the vehicle east-northeast from the parking lot. I-84 West can be seen across the back of the above photo. The driver was checked for injuries but did not go to a hospital.
