To the Editor:

The GE Gift has morphed into an absolute clown car of special interests. First, there was a designated senior center ("designated" is a fancy way of saying "keep out!"), then came the dive pool, then came the 25-meter pool, then came the 50-meter pool, then came the zero entry pool, then came the plan to buy the NYA, then came the plan to connect the NYA with the pools and put the Park and Rec offices there, and finally, then came the ice rink.

I say it's time to shove the special interest clowns back into their car, slam the door shut , lock it from the out side and just build a community center!
