John J. Pierwola

John J. Pierwola, 69, husband of the late Katharine (Cavanaugh) Pierwola, of 18 Kaechele Drive, Sandy Hook, died March 1, in Danbury Hospital.

He was born in Bridgeport, June 4, 1931, son of the late John and Stella (Anjeski) Pierwola. A resident of Fairfield for several years, he was employed in the John Pierwola Plumbing Company in Fairfield. A resident of Newtown for 39 years, he worked for the Robert Fulton Company in Newtown between 1981 and 1992.

Mr Pierwola served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, serving as a sergeant in the military intelligence.

He is survived by two daughters, Karyn Feldbolan of Sandy Hook and Judy Aldeman of Branford; three brothers, Stanley Pierwola of Oxford, Donald Pierwola of Alpine, Tenn., and Henry Pierwola of Wake Forest, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held March 5 from the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, and at St Rose of Lima Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in St Rose Cemetery.
