Alyson scored 25 points and grabbed five boards as Newtown Phone Book held off Newtown Performance, 64-58, in The Gym at Newtown Women’s Basketball League action on Tuesday night.

Alex Heron dropped in 14 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to help lead the Book. Karen Powell scored eight or her 10 points in the second half and had two key steals as Colleen Ruiz and Denise Passano combined for 15 points and 15 rebounds. For Performance, Katie Abromovitch poured in 31 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Jess Minotti added 18 points.

Alpine Realty clobbered Newtown Mobil, 77-48, as Shelby Neveriski popped in 27 points with 11 rebounds. Tori Anderton added 18 points while Kelly Fengler dropped in 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Sarah Gersky had a great game with 15 points and 13 rebounds. For Mobil, Lynn Yeager canned 19 points with 11 rebounds as Amy Proulx added 15 points and Jen Kelly dropped in 12.  Renee Knapp and Kelly Pinkney combined for four points and 11 rebounds.

In recent action, Alpine Realty defeated The Gym, 79-49, as Anderton and Neveriski combined for 49 points. Gersky chipped in 18 points with 10 rebounds as Fengler added 10 points and pulled down 16 boards. For The Gym, Jen Thomas canned 20 points with 19 rebounds while Janet Duffey dropped in 13 points. Carolyn Schreiber and Mel Darrah added eight points each and combined for 19 rebounds in the loss.

Newtown Phone Book topped Walsh Logging, 50-40, as Alyson popped in 14 points. Ruiz and Maura Keenan each added 10 points while Powell and Heron dropped in eight points each. For Walsh Logging, Tracy Paella poured in 25 points while Jen Knapp chipped in with seven points.
