Santilli Is New Director Of Honey Hill Care Center

Arthur Santilli, MS, MPH, CHE, of Newtown has been appointed executive director of Honey Hill Care Center, Geoffrey Cole, president and CEO of Norwalk Hospital, has announced. Honey Hill Care Center, located in Norwalk and affiliated with Norwalk Hospital, is a leading provider of sub-acute and long-term care services in southern Connecticut.

“We are very pleased to have someone of Art’s proven leadership and skill assuming the leadership of the Honey Hill Care Center. Art brings an extraordinary breadth and depth of experience to Honey Hill and to the further development of senior services within the Norwalk Health System,” said Mr Cole.

Mr Santilli was formerly with Masonicare in Wallingford, where for the last seven years he served as president of the Masonic Healthcare Center, a 582-bed senior living, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facility. In addition to overseeing the operations for this major affiliate of the state’s largest integrated health care system, he led the strategic planning, service excellence, and quality initiatives. During this time, he also managed Masonicare’s MMS Corporation, which manages facility and community-based physician practices as well as Trilogy Psychiatric Services.

Previously, he was president of APS New Ventures & Healthcare Associates, LLC, a consulting practice providing business and leadership development, management, marketing, and executive search services to health care practitioners and organizations. Prior to that, Mr Santilli was president and CEO for St Luke’s Health Systems, Inc, an integrated health care delivery system, in Newburgh, N.Y. As president and CEO of St Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Port Jefferson, N.Y., he led the major development of its critical care, regional rehabilitation, birthing, and emergency care centers.

He has held faculty appointments with SUNY@Stony Brook, Long Island University and Suffolk Community College. A certified health care executive and licensed nursing home administrator, Mr Santilli is also a Diplomate of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

He received BA and MS degrees from Long Island University, Brookville, N.Y, and an MPH degree from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu.

He is the recipient of several awards for leadership and community service and has served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, American Health Associates, and Connecticut Alliance for Integrated Care.
