Danbury Hospital Promotes Winkler

DANBURY — Catherine Winkler, RN, has been appointed to the new position of manager of nursing clinic practice at Danbury Hospital. She is a resident of Newtown.

Ms Winkler previously worked at Danbury Hospital, holding the positions of director of cardiology, trauma manager, ambulatory IV services manager, continuing care coordinator, and nurse manager. For the past five years, she has worked as a project manager and consultant for the Laerdal Medical Corporation.

As the new manager of nursing clinical practice, she will work with all nurses and patient care managers at Danbury Hospital to promote the advancement of nursing practice.

She holds a master’s degree in public health services administration and policy from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y., and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from  the University of Connecticut.
