Melba Marie Conner

Melba Marie Conner, 92, of Danbury, died at Danbury Health Care Center on March 1.

Ms Conner was born in Danbury on September 7, 1911, daughter of the late Claude and Olga (Capellaro) Conner. She was a lifelong resident of Danbury, attending Danbury schools and was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1928. She had worked as a masseuse and was a past president of the Emblem Club.

Ms Conner is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Claudia Coopersmith and her husband Dr Richard Coopersmith of Newtown, Betsey Henderson of Danbury, Duncan Conner and his wife Patty of New Jersey, Mimi Burroughs of Westport, Jonathan Orkin and his wife Lynn of New Milford; and Peter Orkin of Florida.

In addition to her parents, Melba was predeceased by her two brothers, Jack and Claude Conner, as well as her sister, Zita Brown.

Graveside services will take place at Wooster Cemetery on Saturday, March 6, at 11:30 am.

There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, 405 Main Street, Danbury CT 06810.

Green Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
