Hearts For Harmon

The 2009 Hearts for Harmon community health and wellness event is happening this Sunday, March 8 from noon – 4 pm at Edmond Town Hall. This free, drop-in activity, is being held in memory of former  Newtown Bee Sports Editor Kim Harmon, who passed away in December 2007 after suffering a heart attack. Everyone is invited to come out and learn about the many agencies and service groups working to protect and improve Newtown’s heart health.

The event will feature a free multi-point health screening from Danbury Hospital, CPR training sessions supported by Newtown Savings Bank, speakers, heart-healthy snacks, hourly nutrition and exercise tips, giveaways and entertainment from Newtown recording artist Daria Musk.
