Stratford Man

After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, a Stratford man turned himself over to police March 5 and was charged with second-degree failure to appear in court, possession of marijuana, driving under suspension, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

Police charged John Jenkins, 22, in the case. The charges stem from a motor vehicle incident last November 21, police said. Police held Jenkins on a $1,000 bond for a March 6 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.

Warrant

Police report that on seeing a local woman driving on March 5, they realized that they held an outstanding warrant for her arrest.

Police charged Peggi Anne Joyce, 39, of Apt 107, 100 Church Hill Road, with second-degree failure to appear in court, driving under the influence, and disorderly conduct. The charges stem from a February 16 incident, police said.

Joyce posted a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court to answer the charges.
