RIDGEFIELD — Following on the heels of the successful run of The Divas, Ridgefield Theater Barn (RTB) is bringing back its popular “An Evening of One Acts 2022” this month. The production will run weekends, through April 2. Also this weekend, the theater will host open auditions for a June production of Peter and The Starcatcher.

An Evening of One Acts 2022 will feature seven plays: Third Window from the Right by Scott Mullen, directed by Linda Seay, featuring Benna Strober and Jon Paul West; Survival Strategy and Face Time, both by Donna Hoke, directed by Mark Hankla and Craig David Rosen, respectively, featuring Bonnie Rosenbaum, Bill Warncke, Pamme Jones, and Kristin Aug; Al With Meatballs and The Voyage, by Joe Carlisle, directed by David Fritsch & Brian DeToma respectively, featuring Aaron Kaplan, Josh Adelson, Timothy Brandt, Roberta Robinson, and Rob Hunt; The Spoiler by Linda Bidwell Delaney, directed by Chris Ceponis, featuring Emily Volpintesta, Josh Adelson, and Elayne Gordon; and Scarsdale by Kate Katcher, directed by Nancy Ponturo, featuring Jenn Hankla and Rob Hunt.

Performances are planned for Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 pm, with Sunday matinees on March 20 and 27 at 2 pm.

Maintaining RTB’s signature cabaret theater style, tickets are $140 for a table of four seats with a discounted rate of $120 for a senior/veteran/student table. Those looking for fewer than four seats should contact the box office at boxoffice@ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org.

Tables are spaced generously apart for limited capacity, and all patrons are required to show proof of vaccination.

Audience members may bring food and drink; concessions are available for a suggested donation in the lobby. Doors open one hour prior to curtain.

More information and reservations are available at ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org. The theater is at 37 Halpin Lane in Ridgefield.

'Starcatcher' Auditions

Open auditions for Peter And The Starcatcher are scheduled for Sunday and Monday, March 13-14, 7 to 9 pm each night.

The play, written by Rick Elice, includes music. The RTB production will be directed by Katherine Ray, with Renee Southerland assistant directing, and Sharon Houk choreographing.

Performances are planned for Friday and Saturday evenings, June 3-25, and late Sunday afternoons, June 12 and 19.

In this five-time Tony Award-winning play — a swashbuckling grown-up prequel to Peter Pan — ten brilliant actors play more than 100 unforgettable characters using their enormous talent, ingenious stagecraft, and the limitless possibilities of imagination.

All roles may be played by actors of any race, ethnicity, and gender identity. Actors will be moving, lifting, pulling, sitting upon one another, falling, fighting, and other physical mischief, including close physical contact.

All actors will double in roles, serving as sailors, seamen, orphans, pirates, mermaids, mollusks, ships, doors, chairs, animals, scenery... and narrators.

All roles are open; proof of vaccination is required.

Due to the physical nature of the piece, all who audition should be over 18 years of age.

Auditions will consist of readings from the script, singing, improvisation, and movement exercises. More information, including a complete cast breakdown, can be found at ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org/auditions.
