I would like to offer a clarification regarding a story that appeared in last week’s edition of The Newtown Bee (“Multiple Honors For Garden Club Of Newtown At 41st CT Flower & Garden Show,” March 10) stating that I had received top honors for a Hartford Flower Show Horticultural Display.

Information provided to the newspaper was incorrect.

The submission that won a blue ribbon and Club Competition Award was designed by group members from The Garden Club of Newtown, which included Paula Toi, Vicky Taloni, Eileen Holleran, Vicki Boccuzzi, Peggy Townsend, and me. And, it was entered as a Group Display.

Yes, we are happy to receive the award and acknowledgement, but the honors go to all.
