Thursday’s Program On Underage Drinking Rescheduled For April

The Community Conversation on Underage Drinking that had been planned for Thursday, March 25, has been rescheduled to Saturday, April 10. The postponement is due to scheduling conflicts.

The second meeting for the Community Conversation on Underage Drinking, underwritten by a grant from the William Caspar Gruastein Fund, will run from 8:30 until 11 am in the library at Reed Intermediate School, 3 Trades Lane. The first meeting for the conversation was held on January 23, with more than 100 community members attending.

The April event will bring suggestions from the first conversation together to create action plans on the topic of underage drinking. Community members interested in attending or looking for more information should RSVP or contact District Health Coordinator Judy Blanchard at Blanchardj@newtown.k12.ct.us or call 203-426-2798. Ms Blanchard said school staff, students, parents, and community members are invited to attend. Breakfast will be provided during the event.
