A Successful Blood Drive

To the Editor:

Quota International of Candlewood Valley sponsored the Red Cross Blood Drive held this past Saturday at Reed School. There were more than 80 scheduled donors as well as walk-ins. We even had 20 walk-ins that had to be rescheduled for future drives in our area. According to the Red Cross, more than 150 lives will be saved with the donated blood.

Thanks to the Interact Club of Reed Intermediate School for the participating by giving snacks and drinks to the donors. Their smiling faces and willingness to help was great to see.

Once again you have proven that’s “It’s Nicer in Newtown!”
