Akos Rathonyi

Longtime Sandy Hook Resident

Akos Rathonyi, 77, of Sandy Hook, died March 29. Born in Hungary, Mr Rathonyi was a Bridgeport and Sandy Hook resident for most of his life.

He had worked for Carpenter Technology for many years until his retirement. Mr Rathonyi was a longtime member and supporter of the Calvin United Church of Christ of Fairfield.

He leaves behind his daughter, Julianna Rathonyi of East Hampton; and a son, Daniel.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 3, at 11 am at the Calvin United Church of Christ, 901 Kings Highway, Fairfield, with the Right Reverend Bela Poznan officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Grove Cemetery. There are no prior calling hours.
