Talk Will Highlight New Alternatives, Surgical Options
BRIDGEPORT â St Vincentâs Medical Center is sponsoring a free talk open to the general public titled âMy Aching Back: New Alternatives and Surgical Optionsâ to begin its 2010 Spring Listen & Learn Lecture Series.
The talk will take place Tuesday, April 6, from 6 to 7 pm, in the Hawley Conference Center at St Vincentâs Medical Center.
Featured speaker Gerard Girasole, MD, will discuss common back aches and pains, how to keep your back in shape for spring cleaning and exercise and the latest in treatments and surgical options.
Dr Girasole specializes in orthopedic surgery and spine surgery. He is board certified as an orthopedic surgeon.
He is very active in the Academic Society for the Spine and teaches yearly at several accredited spinal courses. Dr Girasole is a member of the Spine Universe Editorial where he shares articles and study information on current surgical procedureâs as well as advances in minimally invasive spinal surgery.
A question and answer session will follow the presentation, and light refreshments will be provided.
