Mr and Mrs Thomas Mulrane of Newtown are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Elizabeth Mulrane, to William Robert Hall, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Hall of Youngstown, Ohio.

The future bride is a graduate of Newtown High School, class of 2002, as well as Gettysburg College, and earned her master’s degree from Connecticut College.

The future bridegroom is a graduate of Boardman High School of Boardman, Ohio; Youngstown State University; and earned his culinary degree from Florida Culinary Institute.

The couple owns and operates an upscale sandwich shop, called Melt Sandwich Shop, in White Plains, N.Y.

An August 2010 wedding, to take place in Stonington, Conn., is being planned.
