World War I And Its Impact On A Local Family

BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Historical Society will sponsor, as part of its American Military Forum, a lecture and visual presentation on the events that led up to World War I and America’s entry into the Great War on Monday, April 5.

Presented by Peter Cronin, “World War I and Its Impact On A Local Family” will focus on one family whose son was drafted into the military service during the war.

Mr Cronin is a longtime Brookfield resident who over the years has given numerous lectures on various aspects on the Civil War. The multimedia presentation will include photographs, personal letters, and poignant recollections.

The program will begin at 7:30 pm in The Brookfield Museum, at the intersection of Routes 25 and 133 in Brookfield Center. Admission is free and the attendees will be invited to enjoy light refreshments following the presentation.
