As A Hobby

The Genealogy Club of Newtown will meet at C. H. Booth Library on Wednesday, April 9, at 7 pm.

Robert Spiers of Mahopac, N.Y., will return for the second half of his presentation, “Genealogy as a Hobby –– How to do it Effectively in Your Spare Time.” Although many people have job or family responsibilities, that is no excuse to do sloppy work in genealogy research, according to Mr Spiers. He will present suggestions to help organize research, and will show how the use of computers assist in these efforts.

Meetings of the genealogy club are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the library, at 25 Main Street in Newtown. Club members are from Newtown, Shelton, Brookfield, Danbury, Trumbull, Redding, Southbury, and New Milford. All are welcome to attend.
