Ashlar Blood Drive April 10

The American Red Cross in Connecticut will be conducting a Blood Drive on Thursday, April 10, from 11:15 am to 4:45 pm, at Ashlar of Newtown, 139 Toddy Hill Road. The Red Cross urges residents of Newtown and surrounding communities, along with Ashlar of Newtown employees and family members, to donate blood and give “the gift of life” to someone in the community.

Every two seconds, a man, woman, or child in the United States needs blood. Unfortunately, only five percent of the eligible donors in the US give blood each year, and healthy volunteer blood donors are the only source of blood.

Giving blood is easy, and each donation can make all the difference in someone’s life. And in addition to hosting the blood drive, Ashlar of Newtown is offering every volunteer donor of a pint of blood a pound of Seattle’s Very Best Coffee.
