EverWonder Children’s Museum, at 31 Pecks Lane, has announced its calendar for April 2019.

Spring has Sprung in the Yellow Art Lab. Visitors this month will be invited to create their own Paper Chain Caterpillar.

Ever wonder about rain? In the Blue Science Lab, guests will learn about and create rain chains.

Story Lab for Young Explorers meets on most Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10:30 to 11 am. This 30-minute program of STEM-themed stories, activities, and crafts takes place in the EverWonder classroom. Parents must stay with their children during the program. Program is included with museum admission.

Science with Ms Sheila, a new offering launched in February, continues this month on most Fridays at 10:30 am.

This new program offers science experiments and discoveries with Ms Sheila, who has a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood and elementary education and a Master’s in special education.

Parents must stay with their children during the program, which is included with museum admission.

Special Events

Fridays: Night at the Museum

Explore the museum on Friday evenings until 7 pm.

Friday, April 12, 5 to 8 pm: Parents’ Night Out

Children ages 3 and up can be dropped off between 5 and 8 pm for open museum play, science demo, crafts, and dinner (slice of pizza and a drink).

Cost is $35 per child ($25 for museum members), $10 for each additional child, which covers the programming. Additional slices of pizza are available for $2 each.

Reservations are required and can be done by visiting our website (see below) or calling 203-364-4009. Children being dropped off must be potty trained.

Saturday, April 13: Easter Egg Hunt

Egg drops will be done at 10 and 11 am and noon that day, with children participating by age group (4 and under and 5 and up). Space is limited, so registration is required.

This special event is included with paid museum admission. Pony rides will be an additional $5 per ride. All children will also be invited to visit The Easter Bunny.

Monday-Friday, April 15-19, 9 am-noon: Taste of Summer at EverWonder

Choose one day or the whole week. EverWonder will be hosting special programs each morning: Monday — Edible Science, where guests will explore and experiment with all things edible; Tuesday — Spy Club, for those who want to learn tricks and tips to become a star detective using invisible ink, laser mazes, and fingerprints; Wednesday — Art Exploration, when students will get creative while making wearable art, canvas art, and more; Thursday — Spring at EverWonder, when students will grow a garden and create rain clouds; and Friday — Messy Scientists, for those who don’t mind getting a little messy with volcanoes and slime.

The programs are for ages 4-10, with sessions for children ages 4-6 and 7-10.

Cost is $50 per person ($45 museum members) per day or $200 ($180) for the full week, and registration is required.

Tuesday-Sunday, April 23 -28: Earth Week

We are celebrating the Earth all week with different activities. The first 50 families will receive a free yellow birch sapling.

The event calendar is subject to change without notice. Check everwondermuseum.org or the museum’s Facebook page for calendar changes and announcements. For more information, visit the website or e-mail info@everwondermuseum.org.

Admission is $7 per person (free for those 12 months and under, museum members, and veterans). Parking at the museum is also free. Memberships and gift certificates are available.

The museum is regularly open Tuesday through Thursday, 9 am to 4 pm; Friday, 9 am to 7 pm; and Saturday and Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm.
