Business background: I’ve done hair since I was a child. I was about seventeen when I started working with hair, back in Brazil. I’m a Newtown resident and I’ve had my business running for over 20 years here.

Business focus: Anything with hair. I specialize in hair extensions. I buy the wholesale hair and make my own hair extensions. It’s unique. It’s not a brand name, it’s our name.

Fifteen years ago when hair extensions were just starting, the techniques were very old, the glue wasn’t very good. I wasn’t agreeing with the hair, I wasn’t agreeing with the material, so I decided to make my own. I started with this technique, with micro links. I have everything custom-made. We make the extensions ourselves.

What is something important you’d like readers to know about your business? I have a lot of experience, and I am actually an artist. All of the paintings [featured in the salon] I do myself. I’m very caring, and I’m not just a hairdresser, I’m an artist. Basically, I put my art in everything I do.
