The Youth of Trinity Episcopal Church are planning a fundraiser to support the people of Ukraine.

A Pasta Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, at the church, 36 Main Street.

Take-out and seating will be available, and reservations are required. Visit TrinityNewtownCT.org and specify a time between 5:30 and 7:30 pm for pickup.

A gluten-free dinner option will be available. Diners are asked to specify if they want that option.

For additional information contact the church office at 203-426-9070 or trinity@trinitynewtownct.org. Reservations are requested by Wednesday, May 11.

Cost is a freewill donation, with 100% of all donations going toward World Central Kitchen,

(WCK) which has been feeding Ukrainians since the conflict began.

World Central Kitchen is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization devoted to providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. In late February 2022, chef José Andrés responded to multiple locations, including in-border areas and hard hit Kharkiv, Ukraine, to distribute meals during the Russian invasion. By March 2, WCK had opened eight kitchens on the Ukraine-Poland border.

WCK is working with more than 400 restaurants, food trucks and caterers, which together produce about 320,000 meals per day to feed the hungry in Ukraine.

For those who are not local, or otherwise unable to attend but wish to support the youth group’s efforts, donations are also welcomed through the church's website.
