The Newtown Soccer Club is offering free training for boys and girls registered in âEâ and âFâ divisions. The sessions will be held at the Middle School on Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on May 5, 12, 19 and 26.
Free Goalkeeper Clinics

Newtown Soccer club is offering free goalie clinics for boys and girls registered in âF,â âEââ and âCDâ in-house divisions. Travel players in U-10, U-11 and U-12 are also invited to attend. George Kostelis, UCONN womenâs assistant coach, will provide the training. Sessions will be held at St. Rose from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on May 11, 16, 18, 23 and 25. second session is being held for players in the U-13 travel through high school on the same dates from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Breeze Has Openings

The Connecticut Breeze 18-and-under girlsâ fastpitch softball team has two roster spots (pitcher and outfielder) remaining for the summer 2000 traveling team. Pop Warner Signups

The Newtown Nighthawks Pop Warner program will be accepting football and cheerleading registrations for the upcoming 2000 season on Saturday, May 13, from 9 am to 12:30 pm, at the Newtown High School cafeteria. Boys and girls who will be ages 8 to 15 as of July 31 are eligible. Teams will be determined by age and weight guidelines as established by Pop Warner National. The fees are $125 per player ($135 after May 13) and $100 per cheerleader ($110 after May 13).
