Storytelling Highlights Museum Magic Hours

BRIDGEPORT — Contemporary children’s stories combined with a crafts project make up the Museum Magic Hour on Saturdays in May at The Discovery Museum. During the Museum Magic Hour, stories are told by a professional storyteller to children ages 21/2 to 5 years old, who then make a memento related to the story to take home with them.

On May 13, Raising Dragons by Jerdine Nolen will be the featured tale. The story on May 20 will be We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen.

Museum Magic Hours begin at 10:30 am. There is a $12 fee for each parent-child team, which includes admission to all other museum attractions. For information and information and reservations, call 203/372-3521, extension 129.

The Discovery Museum is at 4450 Park Avenue in Bridgeport, one mile south of the Merritt Parkway.
